Adding "Add Ons" to your Pledge (New Backer)

When you initially pledge, you click “Back this project”, select the reward you would like and hit the pledge button. Next, on the configure reward screen select the add-ons you require (on mobile you may have to scroll to see the add ons, it’s easily missed!). At this point you will be given an approximate estimate in your currency (the Kickstarter collects funds in New Zealand Dollars) and you can complete your pledge.

Adding "Add Ons" to your Pledge (Existing Backer - Desktop)

On the campaign screen you will see a ‘Manage your pledge’ button at the top, click it. The next screen then has a ‘Charge your pledge’ button at the bottom of the screen, click that….. Next MAKE SURE YOU CLICK YOUR EXISTING PLEDGE INDICATED WITH ‘YOUR SELECTION’ on the tile. There is a green pledge button right beside it, and this will take you to the ‘configure reward’ screen where you can add additional product.

Adding "Add Ons" to your Pledge (Existing Backer - Mobile)

Our advise, PLEASE DON’T CHANGE YOUR PLEDGE ON A MOBILE DEVICE, we have had multiple reports of people losing their Early Bird pledges in doing this. So, with that warning in place…. On the campaign screen you will see a manage button on the campaign screen, click that. The next screen has three dots in the top right of the screen, click that and then select Edit Reward….. Next MAKE SURE YOU CLICK YOUR EXISTING PLEDGE INDICATED WITH ‘YOUR SELECTION’, there will be a green pledge button below it, this will take you to the customize reward screen where you can add additional product.

I'd like to know more about card rarity in the booster packs?

We are still working on the final card distribution, however currently a booster pack contains 15 cards, of which :

11 will be Ordinary rarity 3 will be Exceptional rarity 1 will be Elite rarity, with a 1:5 chance that Elite slot will be populated with a Unique rarity card

Our double sided Foil/Full Art cards will be distributed in 1:4 packs and will take a slot from one of the Ordinary rarity cards. The foil rarity will be at ratios approximately outlined above, for that one slot. (i.e. most will be Ordinary, with increasing rarity at Exceptional, Elite then Unique)

We are not disclosing rarity information on Curio card rarity.

What happens at the end of the Kickstarter, how and when do I pay?

At the end of the Kickstarter, your pledge amounts will be collected by the Kickstarter platform. We will be collecting your pledge in New Zealand Dollars. Kickstarter has guidance on the how foreign currency transactions are handled.

https://help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005126634-I-pledged-to-an-international-project-What-currency-will-my-pledge-be-collected-in-

At this point if there are failures due to financial institutions rules on currency transactions (soft limits placed on your account as an example), we will inform you so arrangements can be made once again to collect your pledge. Kickstarter outlines this process here

https://help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005126434-Common-Pledge-Problems

Following the pledge collection, we will using BackerKit to finalize your order and calculate shipping from your local regional hub, using our worldwide logistics partner. Here your shipping will be calculated based on the number of items you have selected. There will be an opportunity to add additional product at this stage, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BOOSTER BOXES.

What plans do you have for the future of Sorcery: Contested Realm?

Once we have completed the Kickstarter campaign, we will be heads down tuning the product and then focusing on getting the Alpha edition into the hands of our backers.

We then have plans for a ‘revised edition’ (nomenclature to be determined) of Sorcery: Contested Realm. This product will have a set identifier different from the Alpha set, and will be the culmination of the feedback, evolution and changes we are able to put in place to incrementally improve the product. There will be other changes too, as our current Curio set plans are Alpha specific (as one example) and there may be other changes. This product will be available through retail channels and distributors rather than Kickstarter.

Sorcery by it’s very nature is NOT a game where we anticipate producing multiple new sets per year, we need the time to craft the game and also commission high quality hand painted art. We anticipate the cadence to be around one set per year (the revised edition will be an exception to that schedule).

We do have plans beyond revised and the groundwork is already underway to forge the next steps in the Contested Realm.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
